Fragment Telegram Stars: How to Buy Them and What They Cost
Fragment (fragment.com) is a crypto marketplace that Telegram’s developer documentation lists as an alternative way to pay for Telegram Stars. Instead of paying Apple or Google, you pay from a crypto wallet, and the Stars go to the Telegram account you pick by @username: yours or a friend’s. This guide covers the steps, the prices we saw on September 23, 2026, network fees, and the cases where another route makes more sense.

How Fragment works
Fragment is a web platform built on TON, a blockchain that Fragment describes as initially developed by Telegram. Besides Stars, it is a marketplace for collectible usernames, numbers and gifts, and it takes payments for Telegram Premium and Telegram Ads.
Telegram’s developer documentation on Stars names payment via Fragment as an alternative flow that also allows larger purchases. On Fragment, a single order can be anywhere from 50 to 10,000,000 Stars.
GRAM, TON or Toncoin?
You will see all three names. TON is the blockchain. Its native coin is now called Gram, ticker GRAM, on ton.org, and Fragment’s payment selector labels it “GRAM” on the “TON” network. Telegram’s 2024 Stars announcement and older guides call the same coin Toncoin, or simply TON.
What you need before you start
- A self-custody crypto wallet. Fragment’s own guide names Tonkeeper and MyTonWallet as examples. Write down the recovery words the wallet gives you and keep them offline.
- Funds in a supported currency. As of September 23, 2026, the Payment Method selector on Fragment lists GRAM on TON, USDT on TON, Ethereum and Polygon, and USDC on Ethereum, Base and Polygon.
- The recipient’s @username. Fragment finds the account by its public username, and only personal accounts qualify. When we tried channel and bot usernames, Fragment answered “Please enter a username assigned to a user.”
- At least 50 Stars. Smaller amounts are rejected with “You can buy a minimum of 50 stars.”
How to buy Telegram Stars on Fragment, step by step
- Open the Stars page. Type fragment.com yourself rather than following links from chats or ads, open Stars and choose Buy Stars Package.
- Connect your wallet. Tap Connect TON in the top-right corner, pick your wallet and approve the connection in the wallet app. For Telegram services, Fragment’s guide also tells you to link your account with Connect Telegram; on a phone, it sits in the menu in the top-right corner.
- Choose the recipient. Under Choose recipient, enter the Telegram username. Fragment then shows the account’s name and photo.
- Choose the amount. Type any number from 50 to 10,000,000 under Choose quantity of Telegram Stars, or pick a package under Or select a package. Each option shows its US dollar price, plus the GRAM amount on wider screens.
- Pick a payment method. GRAM is the default; the USDT and USDC menus let you choose a network.
- Confirm and pay. Tap Buy [number] Telegram Stars, check the summary in the pop-up and tap Buy Stars for [name]. Approve the transaction in your wallet. If Fragment shows a QR code, scan it with the wallet app or, on the same phone, tap Buy Stars with Tonkeeper.
- Wait for the blockchain. Fragment credits the Stars once the transaction is recorded on the blockchain. To look back at past orders, use the View Transactions History link under the form.
Check twice, pay once. Before you approve, compare the name and photo Fragment found with the person you mean, and make sure your funds are on the network you selected. A blockchain payment cannot be pulled back.
Fragment Telegram Stars price vs the App Store
Fragment prices Stars in US dollars at a flat $0.015 per Star, the same for every package, and converts that to GRAM at the live rate. On September 23, 2026, 1,000 Stars cost $15, which Fragment showed as anywhere from 10.34 to 10.36 GRAM during the day as the rate moved. The table compares Fragment with the in-app prices on Telegram’s listing in the US App Store.
| Stars | Fragment, USD | Fragment, GRAM (approx.) | App Store (US) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | $0.75 | 0.52 | not listed |
| 100 | $1.50 | 1.03 | $1.99 |
| 250 | $3.75 | 2.59 | $5.09 |
| 500 | $7.50 | 5.17 | $9.99 |
| 1,000 | $15.00 | 10.35 | $19.99 |
| 2,500 | $37.50 | 25.87 | $50.90 |
| 10,000 | $150.00 | 103.50 | not listed |
At these prices Fragment comes out about 25% below the US App Store for the same pack. App Store prices differ by country, though: the UK store, for example, lists 1,000 Stars at £18.49. And Fragment’s figure leaves out network fees and whatever it cost you to get crypto in the first place.

Network fees and other costs
- Fragment’s own fee. Fragment’s FAQ lists a 5% platform fee for sales of collectibles. It does not list a separate fee for buying Stars.
- Network fees. ton.org quotes about 0.00039 GRAM for a GRAM transfer and about 0.001 GRAM for a USDT transfer on TON. Fragment’s FAQ is more cautious and speaks of small blockchain fees of around 1 GRAM. Fees on TON are paid in GRAM, so keep a little in the wallet even when paying in USDT, unless your wallet supports gasless transfers. On Ethereum, Base or Polygon, fees follow that network’s rules, so check the amount your wallet shows before you confirm.
- Getting crypto. If you start with a bank card, the service that sells you GRAM or USDT charges its own fees and spread. Fragment notes that some of these platforms ask for identification.
- Rate changes. Paying in GRAM means the amount follows the market: ton.org showed about $1.45 per GRAM on September 23, 2026.
Buying Telegram Premium on Fragment
Premium works the same way: open Premium, choose Buy Premium for a User, enter the username (yours or a friend’s), pick a duration and pay with the same currencies.
| Duration | Fragment | App Store (US) |
|---|---|---|
| 3 months | $11.99 (8.27 GRAM) | not listed |
| 6 months | $15.99 (11.03 GRAM) | not listed |
| 12 months | $28.99 (20.01 GRAM) | $35.99 (Premium Annual) |
On September 23, 2026, the Fragment page carried a “-20% SALE” label, so treat these prices as a snapshot. Fragment’s FAQ adds that users in certain countries may be unable to buy Premium there, and that a new subscription can take several minutes to show up. If it hasn’t appeared after 30 minutes, Fragment suggests contacting Telegram support via Settings > Ask a Question. Not sure Premium is worth it? See our guide to Telegram Premium features.
When Fragment is not a good fit
- You have no wallet and no crypto. Setting up a wallet and buying GRAM costs time and fees. On 100 Stars the gap with the App Store is $0.49, which those fees can easily eat up.
- Your USDT sits on an exchange. Fragment’s instructions assume a wallet you control and don’t cover paying from an exchange account, so you would first withdraw to your own wallet, usually paying the exchange’s withdrawal fee.
- The recipient has no public username, or is a channel or bot. Fragment only delivers Stars to personal accounts it can find by username.
- You want store billing. In-app purchases go through Apple or Google and their terms; Fragment payments are final once on the blockchain.
- Your region is restricted. Telegram’s Stars terms and Fragment’s terms both say availability can be limited in some countries.
Other ways to get Telegram Stars
In the Telegram app. Telegram for iOS and Android sells Stars as in-app purchases: the simplest route, at store prices like the App Store ones above.
@PremiumBot. Telegram’s Stars terms list @PremiumBot as another option in the direct version of Telegram for Android and in Telegram Web and Desktop.
Independent resellers. Third-party services sell Stars for crypto and deliver them to a username. Each sets its own prices and runs its own support, so compare the final price with Fragment’s $0.015 per Star and check how to reach support before you pay. TgSuperstars is one such independent service, with English-speaking support in Telegram.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need KYC to buy Telegram Stars on Fragment?
Fragment has no sign-up form: you connect a crypto wallet and your Telegram account, and its Terms and Privacy Policy don’t describe an identity check for buying Stars. Its checkout can still add a wallet or identity verification step in some cases, so “no KYC” is not a guarantee.
Can I pay on Fragment with a credit card or PayPal?
No. As of September 2026, Fragment accepts crypto only: GRAM, USDT and USDC on the networks shown in its Payment Method selector. To use a card, buy crypto from a service that accepts cards, move it to your own wallet, then pay Fragment. If you would rather pay by card directly, in-app purchases through Apple or Google are the simpler route.
What should I do if my Stars haven’t arrived?
First confirm the payment left your wallet: check the wallet’s history and Fragment’s transaction history. Fragment’s FAQ says most transactions take seconds but some take 30 minutes or more, and that funds can look missing when the wallet app shows a different wallet version. After 30 minutes, contact Telegram’s in-app support via Settings > Ask a Question, the channel Fragment names for delayed Premium orders.
Can I get a refund for Stars bought on Fragment?
Generally, no. Fragment’s FAQ says all purchases are final and it cannot make changes, transfers or refunds once the transaction is registered on the blockchain. Telegram’s Stars terms add that Stars sales are final and unwanted or accidental purchases are not refunded. A bot that fails to deliver what you paid Stars for is a separate case: its developer can refund the Stars, and /paysupport is the command to use.
Can I sell Telegram Stars on Fragment?
Not Stars you bought. Telegram’s Stars terms say purchased Stars stay in your personal balance and cannot be sold, withdrawn or transferred for purposes other than those the terms allow. The withdrawal feature on Fragment is for bot developers and content creators who earned Stars for digital goods, services or content. Telegram calculates their reward, and Fragment pays it out in crypto to a connected wallet.
Is Fragment safe to use?
Telegram’s developer docs name Fragment as a way to pay for Stars, and Telegram’s own Stars announcement named it for developer withdrawals. Fragment is non-custodial: it says it never stores or touches your private keys, so it also cannot recover a lost wallet, and its terms note that TON transactions cannot be reversed. The practical risks are lookalike websites, a mistyped username and leaked recovery words. Anyone asking for your recovery phrase is not Fragment.
